Katie Edwards was born and raised in Mobile, Alabama. She graduated from the University of South Alabama in 2015 with a Bachelor’s degree in Nursing. Her nursing career started at USA University Hospital and continued at USA Children’s and Women’s Hospital in Mobile, Alabama gaining experience in acute care. She later decided to further her education at the University of South Alabama where she graduated in 2021 with her Master’s degree as a Family Nurse Practitioner. She is licensed through the Alabama Board of Nursing and is board certified through the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners. Her nurse practitioner career started in Pediatric Hematology and Oncology with USA Health. In 2022, she joined Urology & Oncology Specialists, PC, which became The Cancer Center of Mobile in 2023, as a Radiation Oncology Nurse Practitioner. She is excited to continue sharing her compassion and dedication to her patients as part of the Radiation Oncology Division.
When she’s not practicing, Katie loves spending time with her husband and daughter. She enjoys traveling, college football, spending time outdoors, and being with friends and family. She looks forward to serving patients in Mobile County and surrounding areas.
