Dr. James Gallé is a board-certified radiation oncologist who specializes in advanced radiation techniques such as intensity-modulated radiation therapy, image-guided radiation therapy, stereotactic body radiation therapy/ radiosurgery, prone breast radiotherapy, and 3D conformal radiation therapy. He has also trained and published research in proton therapy. His practice incudes radiation therapy for prostate, breast, lung, head and neck, and gastrointestinal cancers as well as brain tumors and lymphomas.
Dr. Gallé was born and raised in Mobile and attended Louisiana State University receiving a Bachelor’s degree with honors in Biology and History. He then returned home to attend medical school at the University of South Alabama. Dr. Gallé completed an internship in Internal Medicine and then residency in Radiation Oncology at Indiana University in Indianapolis. During residency, he earned the Roentgen Research Award and served as Chief Resident.
He has practiced radiation oncology in Mobile since 2018 and joined The Cancer Center of Mobile in 2023. He has been a finalist several times for the Nappie Award for Mobile’s Best Cancer Doctor, and he was included in 2023’s class of Mobile Bay Monthly’s “40 Under 40”. Dr. Gallé and his wife, Cameron, have four children. He enjoys fishing, college sports, photography, cooking, travel, and attending his children’s extracurricular activities.
