Dr. Olivia Claire Ball is a board-certified radiation oncologist who joined Urology Associates in 2024.
Dr. Ball attended Washington and Lee University, where she received numerous academic distinctions and graduated summa cum laude. She then returned to her home state for medical school, attending the University of Alabama at Birmingham on the Dean’s Scholarship. During her medical training, Dr. Ball was inducted into Alpha Omega Alpha Society and graduated magna cum laude. She completed residency in Radiation Oncology at University of Alabama at Birmingham. During residency, Dr. Ball received an Intramural Pilot Grant to support her research and first-authored publications in both the International Journal of Radiation Oncology, Biology, Physics and Practical Radiation Oncology. She also received the Ben Blackburn Award after scoring in the top 1% nationally on her medical physics exam.
Dr. Ball is skilled in several advanced radiation techniques and her practice encompasses a breadth of malignancies including prostate, breast, head and neck, lung, bladder, skin, sarcoma, gastrointestinal, and brain tumors as well as lymphoma. Dr. Ball is proficient at ultrasound guided fiducial marker placement as well as SpaceOAR and Barrigel placement in preparation for prostate radiotherapy. She is grateful for the opportunity to treat patients in her hometown of Mobile, Alabama.
