Amy Pontius is a board-certified nurse practitioner based in Ocean Springs, Mississippi. She began her career in healthcare in 1994 as a registered nurse, building over two decades of hands-on experience before earning her nurse practitioner certification in 2016 through the University of South Alabama. Certified by the American Association of Nurse Practitioners, Amy has provided care in a wide range of settings—including urgent and primary care services for Indigenous communities in Alaska. Her clinical expertise, combined with her compassionate and culturally sensitive approach, has made her a trusted and respected provider.

Now rooted once again in her hometown of Ocean Springs, Amy is dedicated to delivering patient-centered care that supports both individual and community wellness. Outside of her professional life, she enjoys spending time with her family and friends, gardening, and being outdoors—especially when she’s on or near the water. With a deep connection to nature and a lifelong passion for caring for others, Amy brings empathy, experience, and heart to every aspect of her work.
