Dr. Brian Wood is a fellowship-trained and board-certified interventional radiologist joining IR Centers Mobile. He earned his medical degree from the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine – Georgia Campus, followed by a residency in Diagnostic Radiology at the University of South Alabama. He completed his fellowship training in Vascular and Interventional Radiology at the University of Florida in Gainesville, where he developed advanced expertise in embolization and vascular therapies.
Dr. Wood’s practice includes a comprehensive range of procedures, including oncologic embolization and ablation, prostate and uterine embolization, genicular artery embolization, venous interventions, dialysis access, and complex vascular procedures. He is particularly passionate about integrating advanced embolization techniques into the outpatient setting, where patients benefit from reduced recovery times and greater access to minimally invasive options.
Dr. Wood is recognized for his evidence-based approach to patient care and his commitment to innovation in interventional radiology.
