  • Stereotactic Body Radiation Therapy (SBRT) — Delivers high-dose radiation with pinpoint precision in fewer sessions, using custom molds for maximum comfort and accuracy.
  • Stereotactic Radiosurgery (SRS) — High-dose, highly focused radiation delivered in one or few sessions with sub-millimeter precision for tumors in the brain and spine

Your Treatment Journey: What to Expect

On your first visit, your radiation oncologist will review your diagnosis in detail and discuss the best treatment options for you. This includes how radiation therapy fits into your overall care plan alongside surgery, chemotherapy, or other treatments.

Following the consultation, you will be scheduled for a CT treatment planning scan. This scan helps precisely map the location and shape of the tumor so we can design a treatment plan tailored specifically to you. The planning process, which is personally overseen by your radiation oncologist, typically takes anywhere from 1 day to 2 weeks, depending on the complexity of the treatment.

Once your treatment plan is complete, we will schedule your radiation therapy sessions. Most patients receive treatment on an outpatient basis, Monday through Friday. A full course of treatment usually lasts between 1 and 6 weeks, depending on the prescribed treatment.
